...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM CDT THIS 

EVENING FOR WESTERN BIENVILLE, SOUTHERN BOSSIER, CADDO, SOUTHWESTERN 

CLAIBORNE, NORTHWESTERN DE SOTO, NORTHWESTERN RED RIVER AND WEBSTER 

PARISHES AND EAST CENTRAL HARRISON AND EASTERN PANOLA COUNTIES...



At 533 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 

producing heavy rain in Shreveport and Bossier City. Between 2 and 4 

inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch 

are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring 

with reports of stalled vehicles within the warning area.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing

         flash flooding.



SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Shreveport, Bossier City, Minden, Haughton, Greenwood, Blanchard, 

  Waskom, Benton, Stonewall, Ringgold, Sibley, Doyline, 

  Mooringsport, Dixie Inn, Dubberly, Heflin, Fosters, Eastwood, 

  Keachi and Castor.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
