At 245 PM MDT, Beaver County law enforcement and cameras indicate the initial debris flow reaching the upper Camera at the diversion dam in Beaver Canyon. It is expected that several debris flow waves are forthcoming. Debris flow waves are expected to come in pulses as this debris flow continues downstream into the Grove area of Beaver City, with the initial wave reaching there in 1 to 1.5 hours. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen over the majority of basins in the Beaver Canyon area. Flash flooding is already occurring. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the Beaver River system. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
