...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT WEDNESDAY 

FOR SOUTHERN HENRY IL COUNTY...



At 1014 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced 2.00 

to 2.50 across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 

expected to begin shortly.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Kewanee, Cambridge, Alpha, Andover, Lynn Center, Bishop Hill, 

  Ulah, Henry County Fairgrounds, German Corner, Ophiem and 

  Johnson-Sauk Trail State Park.



This includes Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 21 and 

31.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
