...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM CST THIS 

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN DENTON AND EASTERN TARRANT COUNTIES...



At 1252 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 

thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 

1.5 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 

0.5 to 1 inch are forecast. Flash flooding is already occurring.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.



IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Irving, Grand Prairie, 

  Carrollton, Frisco, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Euless, Bedford, 

  Grapevine, Keller, Coppell, Hurst, The Colony, Southlake, 

  Colleyville and Highland Village.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
