...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM AST THIS 

EVENING FOR CABO ROJO, GUANICA AND LAJAS COUNTIES...



At 633 PM AST, Emergency management reported flash flooding in 

Guanica along road 332 due to flood waters from Rio Loco. Between 3 

and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 

2 inches are possible in the warned area, particularly in Cabo Rojo 

and Lajas. Flash flooding is already occurring.



HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing

         flash flooding.



SOURCE...Emergency management reported.



IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.



Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
