The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Crisp County in central Georgia...

  Southern Dooly County in central Georgia...

  Southwestern Wilcox County in central Georgia...



* Until 1130 AM EST.



* At 530 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 

  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain 

  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are 

  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 

  to begin shortly.



  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms

           producing flash flooding.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,

           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Cordele, Vienna, Arabi, Lilly, Richwood, East Crisp, Wenona, 

  Tremont, Raines, Georgia Veterans Memorial St Pk, Seville, 

  Pleasant View, Tippettville, Hatley and Fort Early.



Water rescues have been reported by the Emergency Manager.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
