The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Freestone County in central Texas...

  Limestone County in central Texas...



* Until 315 PM CDT.



* At 1237 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 

  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 

  2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or 

  expected to begin shortly.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.



  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other

           poor drainage and low lying areas.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Mexia, Groesbeck, Teague, Fairfield, Mart, Wortham, Lake 

  Limestone, Fort Parker State Park, Lake Mexia, Fairfield Lake 

  State Park, Fairfield Lake, Richland-Chambers Reservoir, Thornton, 

  Kosse, Tehuacana, Streetman, Kirvin, Cotton Gin, Fallon and 

  Freestone.

deaths occur in vehicles.
