The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a



* Flash Flood Warning for...

  Henderson County in northwestern Kentucky...



* Until 815 PM CDT.



* At 518 PM CDT, transportation officials reported KY 1557 has been 

  closed from mile markers 1 to 3 due to flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 

  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 

  1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already 

  occurring.



  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.



  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban

           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as

           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.



* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Henderson, Corydon, Robards and Hebbardsville.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
