  Aucilla River at Lamont (US 27) affecting Jefferson, Madison and 

  Taylor Counties.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* IMPACTS...At 53.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 53.3 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 8:45 AM EDT Thursday was 53.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 52.1 feet

    Tuesday morning.

  - Flood stage is 53.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    53.3 feet on 12/07/1976.
