...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM EDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive 

  rainfall is expected.



* WHERE...A portion of western New York, including the following 

  counties, Allegany, Cattaraugus, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans 

  and Wyoming.



* WHEN...Until 815 AM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Motorists 

  should also be aware of ponding on area roadways.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 422 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding

    is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.

    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are

    possible in the warned area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, North Tonawanda, Clarence,

    Lockport, Lackawanna, Kenmore, Depew, Amherst, Tonawanda,

    Lancaster, Hamburg, East Aurora, Williamsville, Darien Lakes

    State Park, Elma, Boston, Eden and Pendleton.
