...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM EDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...Portions of central, southern, and western West Virginia, 

  including the following counties, in central West Virginia, 

  Jackson and Roane. In southern West Virginia, Boone, Kanawha, 

  Lincoln and Putnam. In western West Virginia, Mason.



* WHEN...Until 1115 AM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, larger creeks, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 800 AM EDT, Larger creeks and some rivers continue to

    cause some flooding issues. This is particularly true along

    the Mud River and Pocatalico River.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Charleston, Nitro, Winfield, Hamlin, Jefferson, South

    Charleston, St. Albans, Dunbar, Hurricane, Sissonville,

    Chesapeake, Eleanor, Marmet, Belle, Clendenin, Cedar Grove,

    Poca, East Bank, Glasgow and Institute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
