...The National Weather Service in Gray ME has issued a Flood 

Warning for the following rivers in Maine...



  Kennebec River At Skowhegan affecting Somerset and Kennebec 

  Counties.



  Kennebec River At Augusta affecting Kennebec County.



  Kennebec River At North Sidney affecting Kennebec County.



  Kennebec River at Hallowell affecting Kennebec and Sagadahoc 

  Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.

* WHERE...Kennebec River at Skowhegan.



* WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 6:30 PM EDT Friday the flow was 30,532.0 cfs.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    late this evening to a crest of 51,100.0 cfs tomorrow

    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Monday morning.

  - Flood flow is 35,000.0 cfs.

  Augusta floods.

  - At 6:54 PM EDT Friday the stage was 11.3 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a

    maximum value of 14.9 feet tomorrow evening.

  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    late tonight to a crest of 18.7 feet early tomorrow

    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday

    morning.

  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Sunday evening.



* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Water enters the back side of buildings 

  along Water Street. Front Street becomes completely submerged. The 

  parking lot by town dock flood.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 6:54 PM EDT Friday the stage was 9.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a

    maximum value of 12.4 feet tomorrow evening.

  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
