...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...A portion of western New York, including the following 

  county, Monroe.



* WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT.



* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 

  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 638 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding

    is ongoing, but will continue to recede through the morning

    hours in the warned area. Between 1.25 and 1.5 inches of rain

    have fallen.

  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.2 inches are possible

    in the warned area.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Rochester, Irondequoit, East Rochester, Brighton and

    Penfield.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 

you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 

killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 

creeks.
