Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Local media have reported water rescues. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 552 PM AST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated earlier heavy rainfall across the Rio Culebrinas basin, Excessive runoff associated to this will further cause flooding across the Culebrinas and its tributaries downstream. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Rio Canas, Rio Guatemala, Rio Culebra, Rio Culebrinas and Rio Sonador. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
