...The National Weather Service in Memphis TN has issued a Flood 

Warning for the following rivers in Mississippi...



  Little Tallahatchie Canal at Etta



For the Little Tallahatchie River...including Etta...Minor flooding 

is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Little Tallahatchie Canal at Etta.



* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, County Road 47 near Mud Creek and Mill 

  Creek has 6 to 12 inches of water over it. Several thousand acres 

  of cropland are flooded.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 12:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 24.3 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    this afternoon to a crest of 27.0 feet early tomorrow

    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday

    morning.

  - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
