The panhandle will remain largely dry through Friday and into the weekend. Some potential thunderstorm development to the east of the coastal range with slight chances for showers and possible thunderstorms moving into the SE part of the panhandle around Misty Fjords and Hyder area Friday and Saturday afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be highest on Friday before looking to gradually decrease through the weekend. Daytime highs Friday will be in the mid to upper 70s, but more inland areas may see highs in the low to mid 80s again. Afternoon high temperatures on Saturday begin to decrease to the high 60s to mid 70s as the high pressure weakens and shifts east, though inland areas may still see highs around to just above 80. RH expecting to remain low Friday, dropping to the mid 20s to low 40s across Haines and Skagway primarily in the afternoons. RH begins trending upward Saturday into Sunday, but inland areas will still remain drier through the weekend. Next chance of rain for most of the panhandle is Sunday night into Monday.
