No meteorological fire weather concerns across the district through the next several days. Active weather continues with daily afternoon and evening thunderstorms, initiating across the higher terrain, then spreading east across the Plains during the evening. Locally heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding on area burn scars. Lightning, gusty outflow wind and hail could also accompany stronger storms. Upper level high pressure is forecast to build for mid to late week, with drier air moving into the district. Thunderstorm activity diminishes to more isolated to scattered in nature across the mountains, with lightning and gusty outflow winds the main concerns. Temperatures will also be on the rise by late week across the Plains, and could be warmer than what is in the forecast.
