A dry ridge of high pressure across the forecast area through the overnight hours will exit across Minnesota Wednesday. The result will be winds shifting out of the south or southeast for Wednesday. Winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts nearing 35 mph will become common west of the Missouri River late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening. Relative humidity values will fall into the 25 to 35 percent range Wednesday afternoon. Mainly dry weather will continue through much of Thursday. An area of low pressure Thursday evening over the Colorado Rockies will shift across far southeastern South Dakota Friday night, and across southern Minnesota Saturday morning.
