Coastal stratus and fog hugs the coast from Marin County down to

Monterey County, infiltrating the northern part  of the Salinas

Valley. Fog and stratus should mix out by mid to late morning with

hot and dry weather on tap for the afternoon. One more night of

moderate to poor recovery is expected, with a  cooler temperatures

on Sunday and seasonal temps thru next week.

Hot and dry conditions will peak across the interior later this

afternoon and Saturday. The hottest valleys will  crest near 100 for

the first time this year with minimum RH around 20 percent. Winds

will be gentle and terrain driven, generally  below 15 mph even in

the afternoon. RH recovery will be poor at  high elevations around

50 percent. Temperatures will cool back into the 80s by Sunday, but

daytime RH will generally remain  below 30 percent with moderate

overnight recoveries. North winds  will be enhanced this weekend,

especially near shore and in Lake  County with peak gusts around

30 mph at low elevations and even higher right along shore.
