Friday, a 30.0 inch ridge builds over the lake associated with a 30.2 inch high over the northern Canadian Prairie provinces. Friday night, ridging weakens over the lake as a 29.7 inch low approaches the southern portions of the Great Lakes basin. As the low moves through southern Lake Michigan early Saturday, an inverted 29.8 inch trough will move through Lake Superior. 30.0 inch ridge will return Saturday night, then build to 30.1 inches Sunday night. This ridge will remain over Lake Superior late weekend into early next week.
