At 8 AM ChST...the center of Tropical Storm Bolaven (15W) was located near LATITUDE 13.6N...LONGITUDE 146.8E...or about 110 miles east-southeast of Rota, about 125 miles southeast of Tinian and Saipan, and about 135 miles east of Guam radar. Storm motion was northwest at 18 mph. Storm intensity was 70 mph. .SITUATION OVERVIEW... Tropical Storm Bolaven will pass through the Marianas this afternoon. Once damaging winds begin, they will likely continue into early Wednesday morning, peaking this afternoon. Rain-water flooding and coastal inundation will also be a significant threat.
