Amplified pattern across the eastern Pacific and western US will continue through the early part of the weekend with an upr low spinning over the lower Colorado River basin near the CA/NV/AZ triple point...and a high pressure ridge is situated just off the west coast building toward BC and the Pacific Northwest. Mainly dry north to northeast flow will be the rule with the exception being in the vicinity of the upr low where scattered showers will develop across southern NV...southeast CA...and upslope areas on the east side of the southern Sierra. Freezing levels will generally range from 5000- to 7000-feet in areas where precip is expected. .METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (LONG TERM: SUN AM - WED AM)... Shower activity is forecast to continue into the long term window as the weakening upper level low begins to shift eastward by mid-week. Precipitation forecasts continue to be light (generally <0.10 inches), though some locations may see more within heavier showers/thunderstorms.
