####018001859#### AGUS76 KRSA 151348 HMDRSA Hydrometeorological Discussion National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA 650 AM PDT Mon Apr 15 2024 ...DRYING WITH REBOUNDING TEMPERATURES THIS WEEK... .METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (MON AM - SUN AM)... Conditions are quieting down across the region after an active weekend in terms of precip associated with an area of low pressure that moved from the Gulf of Alaska toward the CA coast before moving inland yesterday across the central portion of the state and exiting the region to the east over southern NV. The primary circulation is nearing the 4-Corners region at this hour...with a few scattered showers making their way from north-to-south on the backside of the system near the NV/UT border. Otherwise...for today...look for drier conditions with northerly flow aloft as high pressure builds over the eastern Pacific and begins to nudge toward the west coast. General troffing over west-central Canada will stretch down across the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies this week...while the narrow upr ridge sets up along or just off the west coast. This will keep drier west to northwest flow across the region and any precip to the north and east. Models still hinting at a weak disturbance moving through the flow across the southern portion of the region on Friday into Saturday...but continue to think there isn/t enough moisture or lift to generate anything more than a few build ups and if anything a very isolated shower. Temperatures this week will rebound from below normal today to above normal through the week (except for the immediate coast) from about plus 5- to plus 10-degF over seasonal normals.
