This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Lake Superior

and the Nearshore waters of western Lake Superior.



.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight



Breezy winds with high waves will persist through this evening. Small

Craft Advisories are in effect. See the Nearshore Marine Forecast

and Marine Weather Message for more details on the wind and 

waves.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday



Westerly winds will ramp up again Thursday creating hazardous

conditions for smaller vessels. The wind will increase further 

Thursday night into Friday. Winds will then decrease through the 

day Saturday. An extended period of hazardous conditions are 

expected Thursday through Saturday morning and Small Craft 

Advisories will be needed. There is a 20 to 30 percent chance for

gales around 35 knots Friday afternoon and evening. See the 

Nearshore Marine Forecast for more details on wind speed and 

waves.
