####018004526#### FZUS81 KCLE 052155 ICELIO Great Lakes Ice Outlook National Weather Service Cleveland Ohio 455 PM EST Mon Feb 5 2024 Active watches...warnings...and advisories on the Great Lakes can be found at: http://www.weather.gov/greatlakes/ 5 Day Ice Discussion... Ice remains limited across the Great Lakes as mild temperatures have resulted in little change to the ice cover. On Lake Superior, some ice remains along the southern shore. On Lake Michigan, ice covers much of Green Bay and the northern shore, including the straits of Mackinac. Fast ice remains on the Sr. Marys River and into Saint Martin Bay, as well as Saginaw Bay. Some ice remains along the southern shore of Lake St. Clair and western basin of Lake Erie (around The Islands and Sandusky Bay), though there appears to be little fast ice if any at all. This week's weather will consist of persistent above normal temperatures leading to decay in ice coverage each day. Little to no ice decay is expected tonight before temperatures gradually warm up through the week, with temperatures well in to the 40s and 50s by Thursday and Friday. This should lead to noticeable decay and melting of all existing ice across the Great Lakes.
