...A CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS NORTH 

OF PUERTO RICO...



The areas affected include...

  Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico AND USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N...

  Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM...



At 835 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong 

thunderstorms, capable of producing frequent lightning and winds to 

around 30 knots. Isolated waterspouts are possible. These 

thunderstorms were located just north of Arecibo and Barceloneta, 

moving northeast at 10 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher

waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor

immediately until this storm passes.

...UN GRUPO DE TORMENTAS ELÉCTRICAS FUERTES SOBRE LAS AGUAS COSTERAS 

DEL NORTE DE PUERTO RICO...



Las áreas afectadas incluyen... 

Aguas del Atlántico de Puerto Rico y las Islas Vírgenes Americanas 

desde 10 MN hasta 19.5N...

Aguas costeras del norte de Puerto Rico hasta 10 MN...



A las 835 PM AST, el radar Doppler indicó un grupo de tormentas 

eléctricas fuertes, capaces de producir rayos frecuentes y vientos 

de  alrededor de 30 nudos.  Trombas marinas aisladas son posibles.  

Estas  tormentas eléctricas estaban localizadas justo al norte de 

Arecibo y Barceloneta,  moviéndose al noreste a 10 nudos.



MEDIDAS DE PRECAUCIÓN/PREPARACIÓN...



Los navegantes pueden esperar ráfagas de vientos de alrededor de 30 

nudos, oleaje localmente más alto, y rayos.  Los navegantes deben 

buscar puerto seguro inmediatamente hasta que esta tormenta pase.
