A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...

  Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD...

  Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD...

  Chester River to Queenstown MD...

  Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor...



At 1015 PM EDT, recent buoy data showed an abrupt wind shift to 

northerly, accompanied by gusts up to 33 knots. This gust front was 

located along a line extending from near Gunpowder River to 18 nm 

west of Middle River to 31 nm north of Key Bridge, moving southeast 

at 25 knots.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, an abrupt wind 

shift to northerly, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. 

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
