...A GUST FRONT APPROACHING THE WATERS...



The areas affected include...

  Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD...

  Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD...

  Chester River to Queenstown MD...

  Patapsco River including Baltimore Harbor...



At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of 

producing winds to around 20 knots. This front was located along a 

line extending from 29 nm northwest of Middle River to 14 nm 

northwest of Washington Key Bridge, moving east at 35 knots.



The gust front will be near...  Middle River around 1255 AM EDT.

  North Point State Park, Fort Smallwood Park, and Gunpowder River 

  around 100 AM EDT.

  Pinehurst, Sevenfoot Knoll, Hart Miller Island, Bodkin Point, and 

  Dobbins Island around 105 AM EDT.

  Pooles Island, Baltimore Light, Gibson Island, Magothy River, and 

  Havre De Grace around 110 AM EDT.

  Spesutie Island, Worton Point, and Aberdeen Proving Ground around 

  115 AM EDT.

  Turkey Point, Northeast River, and Love Point around 120 AM EDT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Mariners can expect gusty winds and locally higher waves. Boaters 

small craft should seek safe harbor immediately.
