Through 5 AM, a line of showers will continue to track easterly 

across the offshore Gulf waters toward the island chain. While the 

areal of the strongest activity has reduced over the past few hours, 

radar indicates some embedded cells may bring hazards that include 

wind gusts of 25 to 30 knots, heavy downpours reducing visibility, 

and occasional lightning strikes.
