Through 2:30 AM, isolated to scattered showers with embedded 

isolated thunderstorms will move north northeastward at 10 to 15 

knots across western marine zones including the southeast Gulf 

waters, and western portions of Hawk Channel and the Florida Straits.

The activity currently south of the Lower Keys is expected to move 

across the some island communities mainly between the Saddlebunches 

and Big Pine Key over the next hour or two. Mariners encountering 

this activity may experience gusty and erratic winds up to 25 to 30 

knots, heavy downpours reducing visibility, and occasional lightning 

strikes. On land, especially between the eastern Saddlebunches and 

Big Pine Key, rainfall amounts of a half to one inch are expected 

with locally in excess of one inch.
