Through 900 pm, isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue to 

move to the east southeast between 5 to 10 knots across Florida Bay, 

the Upper Keys (between Tavernier and Ocean Reef), eastern Hawk 

Channel, and the eastern Straits of Florida. Mariners encountering 

this activity may observe frequent lightning strikes, wind gusts to 

near 25 knots, and blinding downpours. On land, rainfall amounts of a

quarter to a half inch are expected with locally in excess of three 

quarters of an inch.
