Through 700 pm, a cluster of showers, and possibly an embedded thunderstorm, will track southward at 5 to 10 mph, through the Florida Bay and across the island chain from Long Key to Key Largo. This activity will produce wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph, blinding downpours, and possibly a few lightning strikes. Rainfall amounts of three quarters to one inch will be possible. Elsewhere, scattered showers will wax and wane in coverage and intensity across Hawk Channel and Florida Straits. $$
