Through 6 AM EDT, scattered showers will continue to track south to

southwestward at 5 to 10 knots along the island chain and nearby

waters, including the Florida Straits south of the island chain. The

stronger activity will produce wind gusts near 20 knots and blinding

downpours. Rainfall amounts of a quarter to one half of an inch will

be possible, particularly from Marathon through Islamorada.
