...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM AKST TUESDAY...



* WHAT...Visibility one-quarter mile in dense fog.



* WHERE...Anchorage, with the worst conditions in the Anchorage Bowl.



* WHEN...Until 5 AM AKST Tuesday morning.



* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and 

  icy roads.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Main roads could become icy as water on 

  surfaces refreeze overnight, after sunset. Side and neighborhood 

  roads remain icy and will combine with the fog and low 

  visibilities to make travel difficult.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced 

to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your 

headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
