.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from E Cuba to Honduras with 

moderate to fresh N winds noted behind the boundary. The front is 

expected to stall shortly and dissipate on Sat. Fresh to strong 

trades will pulse offshore of NW Colombia tonight, reaching near- 

gale force at night starting Sat night and into early next week. 

The pressure gradient may tighten later in the upcoming weekend 

and early next week leading to increasing winds and building seas 

across the basin ahead of a reinforcing front. Looking ahead, the 

front will arrive in the NW Caribbean early next week and the 

tight pressure gradient behind it will sustain fresh to strong NW 

winds and moderate to rough seas during most of next week.

E and SE over the area today while a strong cold front that

crossed the area last night moves well off to the E of the 

waters. A weak high pressure ridge will move E over the area 

tonight. A warm front will approach from the S early Sat and lift

N over the waters late Sat into Sat night. A cold front move E 

and SE into the area later Sat night into early Sun. The front 

will stall just E of the area during Sun as intensifying low 

pressure tracks NE along the front and passes just SE and then E 

of the area Sun night. A weak high pressure ridge builds in again

early Mon, followed by the next strong cold front that will 

reach the coast late Mon, and then move over the waters Mon 

night. Surface troughs will move SE across the area Tue into Tue 

night with high pressure building in from the W later Tue night.

SE over the N and central waters early today as high pressure

moves into the central and S waters through the afternoon. The 

high will briefly across the N region later today. High pressure

will move E of the area tonight as a warm front develops and 

slowly lifts N over the central and N waters Sat, passing N of 

the region Sat night. A cold front will approach from the W late 

Sat, and then move near or just off the coast Sat night. Low 

pressure will develop along the front over the S waters early 

Sun, and track NE Sun into early Sun night while intensifying. 

The low will move NE of the area by late Sun night. A weak high 

pressure ridge will briefly build in over the waters Mon, 

followed by another cold front moving through the waters Mon 

night into Tue. High pressure will gradually build E toward the 

coast Tue, and begin to build off the coast Tue night. The NAVTEX
