####018003503#### FZNT24 KWNM 192036 OFFN02 NAVTEX Marine Forecast for Mid-Atlantic states waters NWS Ocean Prediction Center Washington DC 436 PM EDT Mon May 19 2025 Conditions given represent the highest within that period. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ...Please refer to Coastal Waters Forecasts (CWF) available through NOAA Weather Radio and other means for detailed coastal waters forecasts... .SYNOPSIS...Broad low pressure over Nova Scotia will gradually move SE tonight and Tue, pushing a surface trough across the N waters. To the S, a surface front will be nearly stationary off of the SE coast. High pressure builds in later Tue especially over the N and central waters, with the high gradually retreating N overnight Tue through Wed as low pressure approaches the mid-Atlantic coast along a slowly moving warm front on Wed. The low moves off of the mid-Atlantic coast Wed night, gradually moving N to off of the New England coast by Thu night while strengthening and pushing a cold front E. The low should continue to move NE into the Gulf of Maine Fri as the cold front moves E of the waters. The low then moves into SE Canada Fri night with a pair of surface troughs extending SW across the area. Since the low well to the NE will be slow to move E, the surface troughs will continue over the waters Sat and Sat night. Sandy Hook to 37.5N .TONIGHT...N winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 6 to 10 ft.
