...Heavy rainfall threat continuing through Sunday...



An upper low and surface system will track eastward to the north

of Hawaii early week, continuing to support heavy rainfall

potential along the surface front as it sinks southward through

the islands. The best potential for heavy rain/flooding impacts

should focus across more western islands where moisture anomalies

are highest, but organized rainfall will eventually impact the

other islands as well early in the week as the cold front weakens.

After this, guidance continues to show an overall general

consensus that surface high pressure should again build north of

the state, allowing for a return to breezy easterly trades and

showers favoring the typical windward locations later next week

and into the weekend.
