...Severe thunderstorms expected over parts of the Lower Mississippi

Valley and Southeast this afternoon and tonight...

  Central and southern Alabama

  Central Mississippi

  Southwest Georgia

  Northeast Louisiana

  Extreme southeast Arkansas



* HAZARDS...

  Widespread damaging winds, some hurricane force

  A few intense tornadoes

  Scattered large hail, some baseball size



* SUMMARY...

  Significant severe thunderstorms capable of producing all severe

  hazards, including very large hail to 3 inches in diameter,

  swaths of intense wind gusts/damage to 80 mph or greater, and

  tornadoes are expected from the ArkLaTex into the Southeast this

  afternoon into tonight.
