.SYNOPSIS...Cool and unsettled conditions through Tuesday with a 

frontal system set to slowly move across the Cascades tonight into

Monday morning. Additional light to moderate snowfall accumulation

from Paradise and higher. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may

impact Mount Rainier National Park Monday afternoon and evening

with small hail and lightning. A shift in the pattern will bring 

dry and much warmer conditions to Mount Rainier National Park for

the second half of the week.

.IMPACTS...Stormy weather will create difficult mountaineering 

conditions near the summit, with local blizzard-like conditions, 

strong winds, and near zero visibility. A high level of skill and 

experience in alpine terrain, including use of GPS, is recommended

for navigation and camping in these conditions.

.SUNDAY NIGHT...Breezy. Rain and snow. Snow may be heavy at times

after midnight. Snow accumulation near Paradise of 3 to 8 inches.

Snow level near 4500 feet. 

.MONDAY...Breezy. Rain and snow in the morning, then showers,

snow showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the

afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail in the

afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times. Snow accumulation near

Paradise of 3 to 8 inches. Snow level near 3500 feet. 

.MONDAY NIGHT...Breezy. Showers, snow showers and a slight chance

of thunderstorms in the evening, then showers likely after

midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce small hail in the

evening. Snow may be heavy at times in the evening. Snow

accumulation near Paradise of 2 to 5 inches. Snow level near

3000 feet. 

.TUESDAY...Showers likely. Light snow accumulations. Snow level

near 3000 feet.
