Rain will continue to push east through the morning, with just cool 

humid air continuing to move in on a northwest breeze. Afternoon 

humidity remains at around 35 to 55 percent. Windier for Thursday 

and Friday, but with temperatures some 10 to 20 degrees below normal.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...



Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,

and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the

probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under

these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety

precautions, but should be monitored.





The outlook for Thursday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index

will reach the low to moderate category.

PLAINS AND FAR SOUTHWEST TEXAS PANHANDLE...



Weather conditions will be favorable for wildfire growth.



* Timing: From noon until 7 pm CDT. 



* Relative Humidity: As low as 5 percent.



* Wind: Southwest around 15 mph. 



* Fuels: Dry to critically dry. 



These conditions will support the spread of wildfires. Outdoor

burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are

discouraged.
