####018002159#### FNUS63 KFSD 222019 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 319 PM CDT Mon Apr 22 2024 .DISCUSSION... Another mild and breezy day continues! Breezy southwesterly winds are becoming more northwesterly behind the cold front. As we head into the evening hours, deep mixing will continue to help transport drier air to the surface this afternoon and evening leading to critical RH values between 15-25 percent. While this could to locally elevated fire danger, most areas still have green enough fuels and a moist top layer to mitigate most fire weather concerns. Otherwise, winds will gradually dissipate south of I-90 this evening. Looking into the midweek, more mild and breezy conditions on both Wednesday and Thursday could lead to some marginal fire weather concerns. However, elevated dew point in the 30s along with greener fuels should keep us out any significant fire weather concerns for the foreseeable future.
