Light north winds ahead of high pressure this morning. As the day progresses, winds will shift around the high to the east and then southeast...though this transition will be slower in the far northeast of the state with the high essentially overhead. Temperatures again above normal today, by about 15 to 20 degrees, with afternoon humidity down to around 20 percent. Winds will increase out of the southeast tonight, topping out between 25 and 40mph Monday. These winds, along with temperatures again 15 to 25 degrees above normal, with afternoon humidity down to around 30 percent, will push the fire danger to very high for Monday. Any burns that are not fully extinguished when winds pick up will become problematic.
