...DANGEROUS FIRE WEATHER TODAY...



.Warm, dry, and windy weather will continue to create critical 

fire weather conditions across much of the Colorado eastern plains

this afternoon and evening. Conditions will be worst along and 

south of Interstate 76 where the strongest winds, lower humidity, 

and cured fuels will coincide. From Denver northward and in the 

mountains, it will be windy but humidities will be higher or fuels

are not as susceptible to ignition.

PLAINS SOUTHEAST OF INTERSTATE 76...



* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 241, 244, 245, 246, 247, 

  248, 249, 250 and 251.



* Timing...Until 8 PM today.



* Winds...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.



* Relative Humidity...As low as 7 percent.



* Impacts...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. 

  Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a 

  spark and start a wildfire.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
