Light westerly winds were in place along with mostly clear skies. The aurora borealis was visible for many to view across the state. Today, expect highs across the region to range from the upper 60s in eastern Colorado, to the mid and upper 70s across western Nebraska and western Kansas, to the low 80s across central and eastern Kansas and Oklahoma. Chances for scattered showers and storms will increase through the afternoon across eastern Colorado, western Kansas, and the Oklahoma panhandle. Tonight, low temperatures will range from the low 40s across western Nebraska, to the upper 40s and low 50s across central Nebraska and Kansas, to the upper 50s across northeast Oklahoma. Calm winds will continue out of the south and southwest. Chances of showers and storms will continue across eastern Colorado and the western half of Kansas and Oklahoma. $$
