It was a chilly day across the region as afternoon temperatures

ranged only from around 40 across far southwestern Nebraska to

around 50 further to the northeast near the Niobrara valley. There

were even some periods of light snow across portions of western 

and southwestern Nebraska. After one more chilly night tonight,

temperatures will be warming through the first part of next week

to more seasonable levels, though our chances for showers and

thunderstorms will also be on the rise especially toward the

latter portion of next week.
