A strong low pressure system will bring periods of showers with a

few thunderstorms and windy conditions to much of the region 

today through the middle of the week. A few storms may become 

strong to severe this afternoon across much of South Dakota, 

southeastern Montana, and southwest North Dakota. Daytime highs 

through the work week will mostly be in the 50s and 60s, but a 

few readings in the lower 70s are possible today across far 

eastern North Dakota and much of Minnesota.
