As in, temperatures will be like a roller coaster the next few days. Coming off some cooler days, today will be notably warmer with highs well into the 50s for many, and low to mid 60s for many south of Interstate 80. Usually for these sort of temperature swings, there are accompanying breezy conditions. That will generally be true with southerly to southeasterly winds prevailing, with strongest winds over eastern and southeast areas of the state. Periods of showers and storms will be seen through the day today too, with the lingering potential for a few stronger storms over western areas later this afternoon and evening. The primary threats there would be for hail and damaging winds. Tonight and beyond: The warmth of today will be short lived though as a cold front moves into the state this evening, which will drop temperatures and bring about some light snow for portions of the state before the system exits the area. Expect highs to fall 20 to 25 degrees or so from Monday to Tuesday. Fret not, as temperatures back into the 50s and 60s will be seen by Thursday and even a bit warmer to round out the workweek. Temperatures may ease a few degrees into next weekend, but look to remain comfortable for this time of the year. Once light snow activity exits Tuesday, generally quiet conditions look to prevail until next week. Northern and eastern areas may see an opportunity for some precipitation to end this week and into the weekend, but confidence wavers. $$
