By tonight, a separate low pressure center is expected to rapidly track off the Mid-Atlantic coastline, leading to widespread heavy snowfall across portions of the Appalachians, northern Mid-Atlantic, southern Pennsylvania, southern New York, and southern New England through Tuesday. The combination of heavy wet snow and powerful winds tied to this rapidly strengthening system could lead to tree/powerline damage and widespread travel impacts across the Northeast.
