The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA...

  Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD...



* Until 600 PM EDT.



* At 427 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 7 nm northwest of Aquia Creek to Port Tobacco River,

  moving southeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by 

           suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. 

           Hail may damage your vessel.

  Yeocomico River, Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Piney Point, Mouth

  Of The Potomac River, Cobb Island, Point Lookout, Tall Timbers,

  Swan Point, Coltons Point, Nomini Bay, Coles Point, U.S. 301 Nice

  Memorial Bridge, Saint George Island, Wicomico River, White Point

  Beach, Popes Creek, Westmoreland State Park, and Colonial Beach.
