  Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA...

  Chesapeake Bay from North Beach to Drum Point MD...

  Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River...

  Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding Bloodsworth

  Island...



* Until 545 PM EDT.



* At 440 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near James Island,

  moving southeast at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots and large hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly 

           higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could 

           suffer significant damage in high winds and hail.



* Locations impacted include...

  Honga River, Fishing Bay, Dares Beach, James Island, Calvert

  Cliffs, Bivalve, Nanticoke River Mouth, and Taylors Island.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
